# How to claim credential from issuer

1. **Scan the QR code** provided by an issuer (for example, an event ticket or proof of purchase. You can use our [demo website](https://issuer-demo.empe.io/)).
   * Tap the scanner button in the wallet to begin.
2. Once the wallet detects that this QR code is an offer from an issuer, you will see a prompt.
3. Confirm that you want to receive the credential (e.g., tap *Claim Credential*).
4. The credential will then appear in your wallet’s list of verifiable credentials.

Tapping on a credential shows details such as:

* The credential type
* The signature method (e.g., *EcdsaSecp256k1Signature2019*)
* Status (Active / Revoked, etc.)
